Who we are

This site is operated by [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], company number [NUMBER], registered in [ENGLAND AND WALES], with its registered office at [ADDRESS]. We trade as Nuewell at nuewell.com.

For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the personal information described here. If you have any question about this policy, email support@nuewell.com.

What we collect

When you place an order. Your name, email address, delivery address, billing address and phone number. We need these to take the order, ship it and contact you about it.

When you create an account. The same details, plus a password, which is stored in encrypted form and is never visible to us.

When you pay. Payments are handled through Open Banking by our payment provider, Fena. You are taken to your own bank to approve the payment. We never see or store your bank login, card number or account details. Fena tells us whether the payment succeeded and gives us a reference.

When you contact us. Whatever you put in the contact form or your email, kept so we can answer you and refer back if you write again.

Automatically, as you browse. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you look at and how you arrived at the site. This is standard web server and analytics data.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping your basket, keeping you signed in, remembering your cookie preferences. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.

We also use analytics and advertising cookies, which you can accept or decline when you first visit. These include [GOOGLE ANALYTICS / OTHER — LIST WHAT IS ACTUALLY INSTALLED] and the Meta pixel.

Server-side tracking. Because payment happens away from our site, we use Meta’s Conversions API, which sends a record of completed purchases from our server to Meta rather than from your browser. The data sent is hashed before it leaves us, meaning it is converted into an irreversible code rather than sent as readable text. This lets us understand which advertising works without passing your details across in the clear. You can decline this with the advertising cookie option.

Why we are allowed to use it

We process your data on three legal bases.

To perform our contract with you, which covers everything needed to take payment, ship your order and handle returns.

Our legitimate interests, which cover fraud prevention, keeping the site secure, and answering your questions. We have weighed these against your rights and consider them proportionate.

Your consent, which covers analytics and advertising cookies, and marketing emails. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect anything done before you did.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the companies that make the service work:

WhoWhat they getWhy
FenaOrder value and referenceTo process payment through Open Banking
[COURIER NAME]Name, address, phone, emailTo deliver your order
[HOSTING PROVIDER]Everything stored on the siteThey host the servers the site runs on
MetaHashed purchase dataAdvertising measurement, if you consented
[EMAIL PROVIDER]Name and emailTo send order emails and, if you opted in, marketing

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Where it is held

Your data is stored on servers in [THE UK / THE EU]. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, that transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years, which is what HMRC requires for tax purposes. Account details are kept until you ask us to close the account. Contact form messages are kept for two years. Marketing consent is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete it where we have no overriding reason to keep it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent at any time.

Email support@nuewell.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Purchases are restricted to those aged 18 or over.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be notified by email to account holders.
